Tragic Accident in Ogun State Claims Driver’s Life and Injures Three

A devastating road accident occurred on Monday night along Idiroko Road in the Ota area of Ogun State, resulting in the death of a driver, Bello Lukman, and injuries to three pedestrians.
According to Omolola Odutola, spokesperson for the Ogun State Police Command, the incident took place around 8:45 PM while Lukman was attempting to reposition his Honda shuttle vehicle, registered as TTD 537 AE. During this maneuver, he lost control of the steering, striking several pedestrians nearby.
Victims Identified
The injured pedestrians have been identified as 26-year-old Ojo Isaac, Ladan Musa Moses, and Tunde Adio. They were immediately rushed to the State Hospital in Ota for urgent medical treatment following the collision.
Ongoing Investigation
Sadly, while receiving care, Ojo Isaac succumbed to his injuries. His passing was confirmed by the attending physician, and his body has since been moved to the General Hospital in Ifo for an autopsy.

Odutola stated, “The accident scene has been thoroughly inspected, a rough sketch map has been created, and photographs were taken. The vehicle involved has been recovered for a Vehicle Inspection Officer (VIO) examination. Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.”
